I’m Kyra. I’m awkward. I can’t whistle. My cats are more famous than I will ever be. The best way to get me out of bed in the morning is a cup of overly-sweetened coffee or a sunrise photo session with the promise of a fat breakfast burrito afterward. I got married in August 2019 (and he’s way outta my league, as you can see below) but this means I know ALL the good planning tips. Here is a freebie: MAKE IT EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT YOLO. We did pizza + beer + made our own playlist for the ceremony and reception. It was liiiiit, fam. I always have lots of bad jokes handy to make you smile and some Reese’s candy in my camera bag, which I think those reasons alone are enough to hire me as your photographer. Or you could look at my credentials, been in the business since 2016 starting in real estate photography and family sessions, then jumping into the wedding game in 2017. I’ve been to many workshops, trainings, mentoring sessions, and hours upon hours of teaching myself how to make this hobby a full heckin business.
When I am not behind the camera, I am working at Oregon’s state financial aid office and am in charge of some state grants to help students go to college + watching my husband rage at Call of Duty while I edit photos (if I am not playing, too). Life also looks a lot different now because we had our perfect tiny human in October 2021 - saayyyy whaaaat. For 2023, I will be taking on less work, so if you want to get on my calendar, let’s get this bread ASAP.
